Urgent: Facing issue with IHS form while applying for dependent visa

Hi,

My husband is applying for tier 2 general dependent visa for uk. We have done with filling all the details, once we move to IHS website, it had asked to fill my visa route/type visa expiry date, my work start and end date etc. There is also a field where it is asking to fill intended date to travel to uk. Once we fill all the details and also the intended travel date and try to proceed it says the is a problem in submitting the for please enter a valid travel date. We are unable to proceed further. Kindly help!

I have entered my work start and work end date as mentioned in my COS document, I am not sure what is the issue with intended date of travel to UK, it is not considering any date, also it is mentioned to leave it blank if we don't know, even if I am leaving it blank it is expecting to fill intended date.

Before filling these details, we were asked to fill Visa type, Visa route and visa expiry date. My visa expiry date as per UKVI letter is 29Nov2025

I'm facing the same issue. I try to add Intended date of travel to UK on IHS payment page, but any date returns error message (leaving the field blank doesn't help either).

Maybe the IHS payments were suspended due to new IHS procedure?

At the moment we are experiencing issues with the IHS page I would advise to try again in a few days as we rectify the issue. apologies for any inconvenience.

2020? When was this CoS issued?

The work start date being prior to intended travel might confuse the system as well, despite the bug said above.

My CoS was issued on 25SEP2020.

And I think intended date to travel date would be applicant/dependant travel date(ie, my husband's travel date) because I'm already in UK. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

As per the existing code, it will allow only when your intended date of travel is less than or equal to work start date & both dates should be greater than today's date. I tried, it worked. But I am not sure whether is it okay to change work start date.

To my opinion, I don't think altering work start date is a good idea as I'm not sure if doing so will impact on IHS fee calculation or in further processing during the submission of an application. If it's a bug in their system they should fix it. Kindly keep posted if anyone hear anything on the same. Thanks

Hi all,
We are facing the same issue for our daughter's skilled work dependent child visa application since Saturday. I spoke with the UK Visa and Immigration international helpline service and they said that there is a technical glitch that they are aware of and that they are working on it to fix it soon. So we will just have to wait patiently for IHS to fix the issue.

I have set Start date equal to the Intended travel date and submitted the application. According to new rules, IHS will charge for the full year if the time spent in the UK is going to be more than 6 months. So I don't think the change of Start date affects the amount charged.

Forget about this.

It is stated in the site that if you are joining someone you shall put as start work date the same date as your travel date.

My bad, did not read carefully.

I think many of you have figured it out. In my case too, I was trying for more than a week and finally consulted the immigration coordinator of my employer and she helped me by suggesting to put the start date of work as the travel date of the dependant and that worked.

What did you fill for your visa route and visa type? I have an ILR and my wife is trying to join me so I selected "Settlement" for the visa route. However that gives me following 10 options for the visa type, none of which make sense

1.Child or other dependant of settled person
2.Civil Partnership
3.Exercise the right of access to a child
4.Family reunion - other dependant relative
5.Family reunion - unpder part 11 asylum
6.Husband
7.Parent, grandparent, and other dependant relative
8.Post flight - non settled person
9.Unmarried partner
10.Wife

What should I select for my visa route and visa type? Appreciate any response.
