Change of Employment Application with 3 months notice period

Post by amkay » Mon Feb 21, 2022 4:49 pm

Hello,

I have Tier-2 visa and I want to apply for Skilled Worker visa to change my employer(sponsor) but I have a 3 months notice period and I want to give my notice after Home Office approve my application.
I checked the HO Guidance for Sponsors and it stated that:
"S8.8. A worker who is sponsored on a Worker route, and is making a ‘change of employment’ application, is permitted to work out a contractual notice period for their existing employer, provided they were lawfully working for that employer on the date of application."

Can I give my notice after Home Office approve my change of employment application or it may make problem for me?

Yes you can, that's how most of people do.
