Photos for the referee form

Post by kamoe » Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:24 pm

Is it really a big issue if the photo is older than a month? By that I mean, has anyone experienced delays or other issues specifically because the Home Office realised the picture is older than a month? (e.g. using the same picture that appears on a visa on passport, or on previous residence cards, etc. or simply the form being signed more than a month before).

I ask because the same rule applied in principle for residence document under the EEA Rules I used a picture that has already been used (on previous document, same exact picture), and had no issue; which to me indicates they don't really cross check??? Any evidence of the contrary?
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.

I really doubt the HO case worked would have the time and patience to compare a 2 scanned document with grainy quality do check for similarities. I had used 2 month old photos and my approval came thru in a month's time. Please don't over think :)

Thanks. Yes, I just received the below from my own solicitor:
UKVI requests a ‘recent’ photograph, but as long as you do not look significantly different it should not be an issue for the application. The photo you have provided will be sufficient.
So there you go.
