ILR DEPENDENT VISA COMBINING TIER4 AND TIER2 DEPENDENT VISA

Post by anand5858 » Thu Mar 03, 2022 8:05 am

Hi All,

I need your advise on below querry.

I am due to apply for ILR at the end of my current 5 years tier 2 general visa in Mar 2022.

My wife and daughter dependent visa was issued for 4 years 10 month 24 days, partly because there visa was processed via the UK standard service when they switched from tier 4 dependent visa in May 2017.

Prior to being on tier 2, I was on tier 4 visa between April 2016 - Apr 2017 while my wife and daughter was on tier 4 dependent visa during this period. We have been living together in the UK since Apr 2016 in UK.

My question - can she combine the time on both tier 4 dependent and tier 2 dependent visas to meet the ILR requirement for the 5 years continuous residence in the UK?

Your quick response is much appriciated.

Yes, they can

Your wife and daughter can apply for ILR at the same time as you.

You need to have spent 5 years on T2 to be eligible for ILR but the 5 years for your family members can also include the time they have been living with you in the UK as your dependants, i.e. their time as your T4 dependants does count.

Hello Manci,

Thank you for help, I have applied dependent ILR premium service to my spouse today and within 6 hours we got approval.

I have applied main appliacnt ILR last week and ILR granted next day.

Most important criteria they consider main applicant ILR grant letter to process dependent ILR.

Thank you for your advice!
