Hi all,
Not sure if this has been covered or not. My wife applied for her ILR SET M and was given a successful decision 28/03/22. Great news! Her current BRP card which she used for her FLR M expires today 04/04/2022, and due to her successful email decision letter she is now on a section 3c from tomorrow?
However, she is still waiting upon her BRP card, which she needs to work, as her employer has only mentioned a day before her old BRP card was due to expire. Her employer hadn't done the Right to work check, after my wife had told and sent HR the successful decision of her ILR.
Now she has been told that she cannot work until her BRP card arrives, I think this is a bit unfair as she has no other way to prove her right to work other than the decision email sent from UKVCAS.
She had attempted to prove her right to work, however this only comes back as invalid (I called Gov.uk and they said they the employer has to request it from the home office as the site is coming back as not valid due to the documents being on the successful application and not an application that is pending, which they confirmed would happen).
Really frustrating for her. As she did everything she was told and now she's being made to wait until her BRP card arrives, which sounds like it won't be for a little while.
Does anybody else know if this is a waiting game or can there be something else she can use to provide to her employer to enable her to continue working?
She received an email from UKVCAS detailing that the courier would be in contact within 24 hours. That was 4 days ago, still nothing and no tracking number either.
Anybody else been in the same situation?
Thanks,
James
