Tier 2 - Application n WP Extension Procedure

Hello Friends:

With the new Tier2 replacing the existing Work Permit category from 27th Nov 2008..

Can anyone of proactive members of this board throw some light about the new rules or information like:

- Sponser Licence by employer
- Certificate of sponsership
- Point base system
- Applying for WP extension etc..

My current WP is expiring in April 2009 and i need to apply for the extension of the WP under the new Tier 2 category and i think the company can apply for Work permit extension only 3months before expiry;

As our company dont deal with migrants too often, they asked me to get the info or the procedure;

Can any body throw some information or helping hand?

i had gone through that info completely... i just wanted to know the procedure.. because unlike the WP process where
- initially my employer had to put an advert in the media,
- than go through the WP applicaiton process
- obtain the WP doc and
- send it to me to go the the embassy for the EC etc..

i just wanted to know in this new PBS.. and my situation of applying for extension... wat that process would be like.. is it something like
- employer first obtian the sponser licence
- provide the employee with the certificate of sponsership (COS)
- than employee send the relevant docs and COS to the HO to obtain the extension of my current VISA Work Permit??

more inputs or corrections would be appreciated..

Hello Tier 2 applicants..

For the below question i posted few days back...

Please find some of the information i found through various sources the procedure for extension current WP as Tier2 General skilled category:

1. The company should have applied for the Sponser Licence registered with the HO to get the status of the Sponser..

2. Than the employer/ ur company will fill in the employee's details in the Certifiation Management system and during this process will get the Unique Identification Number (UIN)..

3. This UIN will be provided to you and you wil refer this no. in the application for the extension of the current WP along with the relevant documents

4. And than your application is processed and approved/ rejected...

that's the info i could get..

But, if there is more precise information available would be highly appreciated
