Maintenance Funds in 2 bank accounts

Hi Guys,
My friend is planning to apply for Tier1(General) and he dont know much about the process...

He had £800 funds but unfortunately in two different accounts
First account contains 500 and second contains 400 pounds for more than 3 months...both accounts are on his name but different banks

The cumulative amount is more than 800.00 pounds...So can we submit 2 bank accounts for maintenance funds...
