Wrong Family and Given Name on COS, advice needed!

Hi,

I just got my COS from my UK sponsor for Skilled worker visa. Because I have a chinese name, english name and family name in my passport. They accidently wrote in the COS my family name as "Family + Chinese name", and my given name as "English name". It should have been, family name as "Family Name" and given name as "Chinese + English Name". So essentially both Family and Given name is written wrongly in the COS. Would a Sponsor Note correcting this work? Or should I ask them for a new COS?

I read somewhere that a main error is considered as "more than one of the following: nationality, birth date, and surname". So technically this error is just one of the listed (Surname) + Given Name.

Any advice, or past experience will really help!

Ask your sponsor to call or email the employer helpline, explain how the name on your CoS compares with the name on your passport and ask them if there is an issue
