Naturalisation application progress update response

Hi,

I have applied for Naturalisation approximate 4 months ago and today I have received e-mail at 18:29 hours starting with Good afternoon.

Your application progressing through system as normal and currently applications are taking approx. 6 months to complete . Is this a auto generated standard response or someone has looked into my application and has sent reply ? Any thoughts please ! Thanks.

UKVI are running behind - looks like a standard email - it could take 6 months or less or longer.
You wouldn't normally get any kind of update on status before decision is made (unless they need further information or documents), whether someone is working on it, or what they are actually doing.
