Invite parents when own visa is expiring in 3 months

Hi Team,

I need your advice in my case, I am on Tier 2 (General) company sponsored visa and working for same company for 4 years 8 months in UK and that is expiring on 15-Apr-2023. I will apply for ILR upon being eligible (i.e. 28 days before expiry date).

Currently I am planning to submit a application for my parents to visit us from India to UK and stay with us for few months from Apr-2023 to Sep-2023.

So my doubt here is, can I submit a application for my parents considering my visa expiry and status. Or any any better advice. Thank you so much!

If you apply while still having existing leave won't be an issue.

It means that your parents should apply before the 15th of April. If not they can apply after you get your ILR.

Please note that there are no laws that says that they can't apply whilst your ILR application is pending. You just need a smooth sail to avoid unnecessary stories if you have a pending application with the HO.
