again,My husband is the main applicant and myself and my kid are the dependents. All of our current BRPs are valid till January 2026.
But once my husband switches job his new visa will be valid till ‘May 2026. Myself and my kid do not plan to apply for the new dependant visa along with him since we have validity till Jan 2026 in the existing BRP. As per the the gov.Uk website there is no mandate that I have to update my visa along with my spouse. It says I can update it anytime before the current brp expires.
In this case I’d like to know the following:
1. Can I apply for my dependant visas just before the expiry on Jan 2026, when the validity of my spouse’s visa will be upto May 2026? Would I get the visa approved for those 4 months?
Or the next option is,
2. Can my husband apply for the extension of his skilled worker visa in January 2026 I.e., 4 months prior to the expiry of his BRP? In that case, we will join with him and get our dependant visas too.
