Referee Clarification for Naturalisation

Post by androidlover » Tue May 09, 2023 3:01 pm

Hello Team,

This forum has always helped people like myself to assist in filling VISA applications. I again need some clarification regarding Naturalization / British Citizen application for an adult.

I have understood the acceptable profession who can act as referee are listed on this link (though it is not a definite list) and professions outside of these lists are also accepted. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ionals.pdf

my question is,

My first referee is a British citizen, who is also a professional person i.e., Helpdesk Manager in a VAT registered company
and my second referee is a non-British citizen but his job title is an IT Consultant.

Since IT Consultant is not an approved profession in government's list, in my case, does my first referee satisfy both criteria for a professional person and a British person to act as referee and qualification of second referee will not matter?

If second referee of IT Consultant cannot be accepted, can I use a referee who is on the list (above) but had to appear in court previously for a case which was closed after they were fined. Will that affect my application in anyway?

Thank you as always for support.

If second referee of IT Consultant cannot be accepted, can I use a referee who is on the list (above) but had to appear in court previously for a case which was closed after they were fined. Will that affect my application in anyway? If referee isn't deemed to be of good character, you would be asked to find another. So it's worth giving it a go.

No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
