Hello everyone
We applied for a visitor visa for my MIL in July 2022 and it was subsequently rejected in September 2022. Started the Judicial review process and got a reply from the UKVI in favour of a review. Post the reconsideration, the visa was again rejected a second time in February 2023. My solicitors started the JR process once again and the UKVI asked for another review.
Giving them a final chance, we agreed. On 22 May 2023 we received an email asking for the passport to be resubmitted, which obviously sounded very hopeful.
So the passport was submitted at VFS Global on 24th May 2023 and six days later we received the passport back by courier, with a visa! However, upon checking the vignette, we realised the visa had been issued for the previous year... i.e. 2022. In other words, the visa was already expired.
Now we have resubmitted the passport to get the vignette replaced, but a month later the UKVI still have not returned the passport. The status is exactly the same for the past month, that the application has bern submitted for processing.
Sometimes I wonder if they are doing this on pupose just to exhaust us and so that we give up! Spent thousands on the JR just to get her visa sorted ad this was the third time she applied.
What do I do know? I am losing my patience as this has been going on for a year now.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
