Dependant visa to primary application - skiller worker

My wife is on dependant visa and it's been 2 years, now she joined a company who is going to sponsor visa.
1. What is the minimum time line we need apply for visa ?
2. She is working on monthly contract basis, on contract basis also companies sponsor visa ?
