COA & MARRIAGE

Post by sharon2009 » Tue Jan 06, 2009 2:09 pm

Me I my partner are living together for the last THIRTEEN AND HALF years
My partner is from Bangladesh with Indefinite leave and I am overstayer
and I to report to reporting centre every week. In 2007 we applied for COA and discretionary leave from the Home Secretary. Now they have sent COA but no answer to regularise my status. COA is valid up to the end of next Four weeks.

Now we have problem in giving notice for marriage to the registrar for marriage because my passport is with the home office and my partner' s
passport has to be renewed. The registrar office is asking for current passport or two utility bills but we have only one utility bill. Review for reporting and last day for the validity of COA are simultaneous. Any pro bono help how to give notice for marriage in the absence of valid passport and other documents. Any suggestion for persuading registrar
To accept our COA pending other documents in due course.
