Application timeline

Post by Peanut123 » Fri Oct 27, 2023 7:14 am

Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: 17yr + 17y ILR
Method of application: Online application on the 18th of March 2023 and appointment for biometrics confirmed on the same day.
Date of receipt by UKBA: 18 March 2023
Date of debit of fees: 18 March 2023
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 28/03/2023
Date of receipt of approval: TBC
Date of Ceremony: TBC

On the 22nd of September I received an email from NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk saying

“ We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target.

We are sorry for the delay in dealing with this application which has been caused by an IT issue. We have reported the issue, will ensure it is resolved as soon as possible and will expedite completion of your application when it is resolved. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a specific time scale for completion at this time.”

On the 26th of September I sent an email to the local MP asking to contact the HO on my behalf. He responded on the same day saying he emailed the HO and he will be in touch once he gets a response.

On the 12th of October I contacted HO via telephone and they said they can’t help. All you have to do is just wait
On the same day, I sent an email to furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk to enquire about my application. No response received as of today.

Today (27 October 2023) has been a month since I contacted the MP and still no updates.

Can someone advise on what to do next please. Thanks in advance
