ILR BRP

Post by Ac1 » Sat Dec 30, 2023 10:28 am

Hi

I understand that BRPs are being phased out by 2025.My BRP will expire Dec 2024, do I have to contact immigration to get the evisa? How do I get this new evisa and can I do it before the BRP runs out?
Kind regards

We don't know?
The only information we have is publicly available information from UKVI, which says (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/online-immi ... atus-evisa ):
If you currently have permission to stay in the UK and have either a BRP, a BRC or other physical documents to prove your immigration status, you do not have to take any action now.

Throughout 2024, we’ll provide updates on when you need to register for a UKVI account, and what you need to do.
It's not 2024 yet.

Information on eVisas as all BPRs will be phased out from 1st Jan 2025

UKVI will provide more updates in the coming months
