Innovator founder visa refual on genuiness grounds.

Hi everyone,

I was previously on the startup visa, and recently applied for the innovator founder visa which was refused on genuiness grounds. The home office concluded that I am not a genuine entrepreneur because they alleged that I did not notify my endorsing body before changing to a new business. This is false, the home office came to this decision without asking me or asking my endorsing body directly if they were aware of the change. My endorsing body was duely notified and monitiored my new business as it progressed.

Home office decision: "When you were granted permission to stay in the UK as a Start Up migrant it is expected that you would use the 2 years to build and develop the business that you presented to your endorsing body. Instead, you quickly abandoned the business you had been granted leave to start and began working on a new business that had received no endorsement or oversight from an outside body."

Do you have any evidence that the endorsing body validated your new business proposal AND they informed the Home Office?

If the answer is no then the refusal is going to be difficult to overturn

Thanks for replying. I have email correspondance that shows that my endorsing body was promptly informed of my new business, and were updated as the business progressed. Also, as a result of changes with the team that endorsed me, I had to show the new team that I was compliant with the rules before they gave me my new endorsement.

My endorsing body is also willing to write a letter to the Home Office to confirming that they were aware of my change of business and monitored my progress. I just can't understand how this happened in the first place. How could the Home Office just conclude that my endorsing body wasn't aware of the change without asking me, or my endorsing body?

I'm extremely anxoius now as I am awaitng the decsions for my admin review.

I would absolutely get the endorsing body to write to the Home Office. And very urgently.
This is likely to have a very positive bearing on the decision.
