Returning to UK with Tier 2 BRP After Citizenship Grant Notification Received Abroad

Hi All,

We applied for British citizenship through the MN1 form and received the grant notification while abroad. My child holds a Tier 2 dependent BRP. We have a flight back to the UK in under a week.

My questions are:

Can my child re-enter the UK using their Tier 2 dependent BRP, as we were notified of their British citizenship grant while outside the UK?
If the BRP is not valid for entry now, what immediate actions are required for a compliant and smooth return?

Any insights, especially from those who've experienced similar situations, would be incredibly helpful.

Use BRP which shows valid date to board flight, at UK Border show the BRP, email and explain.

A British citizen cannot be refused entry.
