HSMP approved after 11 months. Just 2 questions please...

Post by mbasmart » Mon Jan 12, 2009 7:45 pm

Hi All,

I applied for HSMP on 11 Feb 2008. My application was refused after about 7 months. Then I requested for a review, and it has recently been approved a week ago. Thanks for your support and guidance... The approval letter says that if I am in UK, I should file an application for further leave to remain in UK under Tier 1.

I have two questions, if you could help:

1. I am currently in UK on a student visa (which is gonna expire on 31.12.2009), what particular points should I keep in mind while sending my documents for Tier 1? Any particular documents that you think should not be forgotten?
2. I have 2 bank accounts (Lloyds and Barclays). I am planning to send both statements because each individual statement does not have 800 pounds for the entire three months. i.e. on certain days the balance of Barclays fell to 100 pounds but the balance of Lloyds was 900 pounds (on the same date). But, throughout the last three months, the total accumulative balance in both accounts (Barclays+Lloyds) has ALWAYS been more than 800 (each and every single day). For instance, on 3rd of November 2008, I transferred 1000 pounds from Barclays to Lloyds. This decreased my Barclays balance to 33 pounds BUT AT THE SAME TIME increased my Lloyds balance. Do you reckon that providing two bank statements (both in my name and address) would be OK? Whats the worst case scenario?
3. Lastly, my current student visa is going to expire on 31.12.2009. And I am gonna send my Tier1 application on the same date i.e. 31.12.2009. I cant send before that because I am gonna get print outs of my bank statements from my Banks on the very same date. Can you foresee any risks? I am gonna get print outs of both bank statements from 31 October 2008 to 31 January 2009 (almost 92 days)...

Thank you very very much in advance

Sorry, one small correction please... My current student visa is going to expire on 31.01.2009 (31 Jan 09) and not on 31.12.09 as stated earlier. Sorry, my mistake...
