Query about Dependent

Hi
First of all apologies for re-posting this.
I will be applying for my Tier 1 in a few days. However, my wife would apply as a dependent only once my application is accepted. That would be about 2 months down the line. In such a case:

1. Do I need to show 2800 Pounds or 2800 + 1600 = 4400 Pounds in my account as maintenance funds NOW when I apply only for myself?

2. If I need to show 4400 Pounds now - can the amount be split between my account and my wife's account? That is, 2800 Pounds in my account and the remaining 1600 pounds in my wife's account?

Hi,

The answer to both ur questions is yes.

You must show 2800+ 1600
the amount can be held in the main applicants account, joint acc or spouses account.
