UK Spouse Visa - spouse changing passport nationality?

Hi all,

I am a UK Citizen living overseas, and my wife is mainland Chinese.

We plan to move to the UK this year, and my wife will apply for a Family Visa (spouse route).

Does anyone know if we will have problems if....

a) my wife changes her passport from a Mainland China passport to a Hong Kong passport *after applying for the UK visa, but before landing in the UK*, or
b) she changes her passport from a Mainland China passport to a Hong Kong passport *after we are already living in the UK*.
