British passport application question

Hey there,
I am applying for my wife's British passport. Both me and my wife acquired naturalisation certificate recently. None of our parents or grandparents are british.

In my wife's application, its asking for details of her grandparents. It never asked me grandparents details in my application. I find it really weird, as we are not claiming british nationality through grandparents or parents. Can someone explain this.
