Redundancy - Stamp 1

Post by Mustard » Fri May 10, 2024 12:04 pm

Hi! My company will close down the sector where I'm currently working, but this won't be done immediately. They will de-escalate business until it dies a slow death. So, they told us that we are, as of now, at "risk of being made redundant". They gave us a timeline and are planning to keep us until October 31st.

My question is, would the term "risk of redundancy" differ from the confirmation of redundancy in the eyes of the immigration department? Should I notify them about it now or only when the company actually confirms the redundancy so I can get the grace period?

My work permit/visa is valid until November 10th, stamp 1, General Work Permit.
