Document Submission

Post by El-Neno » Fri May 10, 2024 11:43 pm

Hello everyone,

I've searched several sources but haven't found answers to my queries.

I have completed and paid for my application. On the page labeled "Further actions you must complete," there are two green buttons—one to download a referee form and another to book an appointment. Next to the "Book Appointment" button, it states:

"You must book and attend an appointment with UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) to provide your evidence and biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph). We will send you a reminder after this date if you have not attended an appointment."

Could someone clarify what "evidence" refers to in this context? Does it mean the supporting documents?

I've already uploaded the documents to UKVCAS. Should I also bring physical copies to the appointment?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, it means you need to attach the supporting documents on UKVCAS which you have done.

I brought physical copies of everything to my appointment just in case something hadn't loaded correctly - but note that the staff at the appointment doesn't work for UKVI. You can pay for a checking service if you wish, where the person at the appointment will have a look through your documents and confirm they are visible (note it is no guarantee the documents you provided are correct).

The things that are compulsory to bring with you are:
- your passport to check your identity
- the printed email of confirmation of your appointment
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.

I've already uploaded the documents to UKVCAS. Should I also bring physical copies to the appointment? If you are sure you have uploaded all required, no need otherwise if more than a couple of pages you will be paying for the full service at UKVCAS.

Thank you in advance for your help.
