Dependent partner application issues- applied inside the UK

Post by Aishwaryarajanna » Fri Jul 05, 2024 8:43 am

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking some advice regarding my wife’s dependant partner visa application for the UK. We initially thought we submitted the application on the 3rd of April.

However, upon reviewing our application status on UKVI website, we found that the evidence submission date was actually recorded as the 19th of June. I guess the system has taken this automatically on the due date of our evidence submission (which was the 19th of June).

To make matters more confusing, we haven’t received any confirmation email from UKVI acknowledging the submission of our application.

I have also included a screenshot for your reference.

My wife’s mental health is deteriorating due to the anxiety caused by this delay, and it’s been really tough for us.

So, I would like to know if our application is still valid if the submission has been automatically done on the 19th of June instead of the 3rd of April? We’re really concerned about whether this discrepancy could affect the application process.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with not receiving a confirmation email from UKVI? If so, how did you resolve it?

Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. We’re trying to stay hopeful and proactive, but the uncertainty is really challenging.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The document upload date is irrelevant. The only dates that matter are the application submission dates (if you login to your application account via the link you get in your emails while you're filling the application out, you can download a copy of your full application as submitted. You can check the date on there). The biometric date is the date that generally the UKVI say is when your processing starts but this is dubious because sometimes they say from submission date. You can see that from the UKVCAS confirmation email.

If you are really concerned, send them a paid email just as a nudge to at least get some eyeballs on your case (even if its not the caseworker).

Thanks you for your response.

But we made the application inside the UK, and through ID check app.

There was a final ‘submit and confirm’ button which we did not press. And the deadline to do that was 19th June. Now we can see it’s automatically submitted the evidence date as 19th June.

Unfortunately I’m not able to attach a screenshot here.

So I have the following on the application :

Application status - submitted on 3rd April
Evidence submitted - 19th June

The reason we didn’t click the final ‘Confirm and submit’ was because the application went missing from dashboard for 2 months. We chased up UKVI multiple times and finally got it sorted but this was after the deadline.

If you didn't submit the evidence until 19th June, the CW may have only started your case. It's impossible to know like I said, if you are really desperate then use the paid email service even if it's just to give yourself a little bit of relief.

That’s a relief to at least know my application is still valid. I’ll raise an email as suggested. Hopefully I get this sorted soon.

Thank you very much!
