Mistake in Health and Care Worker Visa

Post by gekalopi » Tue Jul 09, 2024 3:06 pm

Hello, My CoS as a doctor has been issued on 26/06.
The same day I applied for a Health and Care Worker Visa and paid for priority service.Immediately after completing my application I realised that I had made an apparent mistake in my application, and had indicated as my current location the UK, whereas I am currently in Greece.
I tried to contact the UKVI contact centre to let them know about mistake but the actually did not help. They offered to withdraw my application on my behalf the same day in which I initially agreed to (27/06). However, they didn't do that and in the meantime, the HOME Office Atlas contacted me with the following email:
"Dear...
You have confirmed on your Skilled Worker application form that you are currently in the UK.
You have also confirmed on the same application form that you do not currently hold a UK Visa, Entry Clearance or Grant of leave.
Please can you confirm if you are currently in the UK and if so, have you been granted any leave to be in the
UK such as; UK Visa, Entry Clearance or Grant of leave. Also please provide any supporting documents.
If you do not currently hold any of the above, please confirm if you are in the UK as a visitor."

The same time (27/06) I replied to their email explaining my case, and asking them if I should withdraw my application or if my application could be considered and my mistake could be corrected.

The next day (28/06) the UKVI contact remembered my withdrawal query and asked me if i wish to withdraw my application, and I replied to them, that since Home Atlas has already contacted me, I no longer with to withdraw.

As I didnot receive any feedback from Home Atlas, on 01/07, I uploaded in the additional evidence section of my application a cover letter, describing my condition and providing evidence that I am currently outside the UK. However since then I haven't received any updates from Home Atlas.

What do you think about my case? Any help or previous experiences would be helpful.

You should be OK however it appears the priority consideration is gone.

Thank you very much!
Do you have any past experience about how many days the usually need to get a decision in similar cases?

No, when it comes to immigration and naturalisation matters, patience is what needs to be cultivated.

Thank you very much for your valuable advice!

I received today(15/07) the following reply by the Home Atlas Office:

"Dear ...

We are in receipt of a Skilled Worker Leave to Remain application for the above-named person.
You have made an incorrect application.
We can vary the above application and you will receive a full refund.
You will need to reapply with the correct application details
You need to log in to your application and provide clarification on how you wish to proceed.
Please send this within 10 working days.
Your unique application number is ...
You will need the identity document you used to start your application to log in.
Log in to your application and upload clarification at https://apply-to-visit-or-stay-in-the-u ... /dashboard.
Please note, as we have requested additional information in order for us to conclude your application, it may not be possible to make a decision within service standard in this instance.

Kind regards,

UK Decision Making Centre."

I uploaded the clarification letter to the additional evidence section of my application, and also replied to HOME Atlas Ofiice email by attaching the clarification letter too.

The problem is that I am not sure whether I should reapply directly or I should wait for a reply/acknowledgement from the Home Atlas Office and then reapply!

Thank you very much for your help and advice.
