English Test requirement for FLR(FP) 2nd extension)

Dear Forum members,
I am raising query on some one's behalf who is due to extend her FLR FP (Partner) visa in next couple of week. She has got A1 level English certification only (secured in 2018). In the application form it says CEFR Level A2 test for extension. Is it possible to use the A1 level certification with her FLR FP extension instead ?

Not sure if English test required for FLR FP even with what you wrote.
If there is any English test to be done, applicant should go for Level B1 as this is required down the line for ILR till BC.
Can try Trinity College London GESE SELT B1.

The issue is that the applicant is scared of the word English test, the A1 level she did was like climbing up K-2. To overcome that fear she was enrolled in some English courses in London and still going on, thinking that that might help her avoiding taking the English tests further. One of the solicitor adviced her that she doesn't need any English certificate in FLR(FP) but now when she stated filling out the extension application, she came to know that in the form it is asking for English A2 level. She thinks that once this extention has been granted she will started preparation for B1 level but at the moment the issue is to extend the one she is already due for.

Some where in the forum C100, mentioned that no requirement for FLR FP but that post was from 2019, don't know if that is still the case?

Any body else, any comment/advice?

Except if it's changed and I am not aware, FLR FP does not take English test, however when it gets to ILR the English language test will be required.
The Trinity College London Level B1 test is a simple 10mins conversation with the examiner. You may want to check some clips on YouTube for it.
