I have submitted my naturalization application four months ago. Do I need to check the progress? How can I check it? Thank you

You don't need to check progress - there's no facility for that -and you wouldn't get progress updates anyway.
The processing target is 6 months (not a guaranteed target) - often it is faster sometimes longer.
