ceremony booking - no response from council

Post by odesseyandoracle » Tue Sep 03, 2024 9:41 am

Hey everyone, I'm trying to book my citizenship ceremony over the past 2 weeks and my council has not responded with proposed dates yet. They initially said they'll get back the same day. The next day they said it sometimes takes 5 days, then they said their system is down so I should send an email. Then they escalated the case, but still nothing. Is this normal? Should I maybe go down to the register office in person?

That's what I would do, if possible, and try to speak to a responsible person.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Try calling more frequently and go in person if nothing changes, though you probably need to be lucky and speak to the senior manager to resolve it.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
