Anybody Applied for Early Extension, FLR from HSMP to Tier 1

Hello Friends,

Has anyone of you applied for extension from HSMP to Tier 1 some 3-6 or more in advance?? I am going to do that, I have sent a mail to the BHC and they told me the early application is possible but the key question is:

Will the extension be granted from the date of expiry of current leave or will it be effective immediately from the application approval date.

Feedback will be highly appreciated from people who have got the same done!!
