British Naturalisation Application - October 2024

Post by abanerje » Mon Oct 21, 2024 3:31 pm

Hello,

I had a query regarding missed absences on the application form. After submitting my form today i.e. 21/10, I realised that I had missed including a 2 day trip outside of the UK.

My biometric appointment is still slightly far out. Therefore, just wanted to know what are my options now? Is this a grave mistake for the application to be refused. My total number of absence days is 212 days. Therefore, I'm well within the threshold of 450 days.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I have just submitted the online form as of now and yet to attend my biometric appointment at the UKVCAS centre.

It’s not something to get refused about, bearing in mind you are well below the limit. You can still upload a covering note explaining the omission.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Just add the omission in a covering note. You won't be refused over forgetting a detail in a long application form.

Additionally, I have got one Penalty Charge Notice (for a minor traffic law violation) and one Parking Charge Notice in August, 2024. Do I need to declare these as well in a cover letter?

Just to add more information, since the car is registered in the name of the leasing company, all notices have been addressed to the agency and not to me directly. Therefore, I didn't declare on the application form esp. since the guidance said if you've got '3 or more' Fixed Penalty Notices or FPNs, then you must declare.

Please advise. Thank you so much in advance!

Only FPNs need to be declared (I assume you paid all the PCNs and didn't get tens of them in a short period of time). No need to worry if you paid all your PCNs in time.
