UK (Company Sponsored) Visa Immigration Question

I am asking on behalf of someone very close to me, please.

He is on a spousal visa.

His wife is on the Tier 2 company visa.

He left the UK (on a trip to Nigeria) on the 1st of April, 2024; which is over 180 days (today)..

His visa is due for renewal in December, 2025.

Please, will you be able to confirm what the effect of his absence (been away for over 180 days) will be on his visa renewal application ?
