Student visa outside UK(2nd master degree)

Post by Nites007 » Fri Nov 01, 2024 4:12 pm

Dear Moderator,

I am in process of applying for student visa for second master degree.
Brief about my immigration history.
2014- came on a student Visa
2016- Tier 1 graduate Entrepreneur Visa
2018 Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa
2021 Tier 1 Ent visa Extention
August 2024 return to India
September 2024 applied student visa standard route. Withdraw my application in oct 2024 as university enrolment date has passed. I request guidance on following.

I received an email from the Home Office stating that 'the processing of my application has not been straightforward.' What are my chances of receiving a visa in a timely manner if i apply under priority visa? Additionally, does the type of university (ranking) or the choice of course I will be enrolled in, affect their decision?

2. Would you recommend applying for priority processing, or do you think it would not make a difference given my current situation?

3. In my previous student visa application, the Home Office requested additional information and documents by Email to support what I was doing over the past four years. What will be the best way to address this in my current application? I was sole director of a company and was running a cafe for the past 3 years, but I was not drawing any salary. What proof I can provide them?

4. I still have my UK bank account, is it better to provide financial evidence of money in the UK bank account or Indian bank account? I have sufficient money individually in each account for Visa requirnement.

Regards
Nitesh

not straightforward probably due to academic progression

You need to show your new course has some connection with your previous UK study

Thank you so much for replying. On my CAS its written academic progression not required. As its a home office guidance if applying outside UK academic progression not required.. could you please share your views on how I can deal with this point?

Also of you could guide on other points I mentioned that would be great

hmm, you are right. From your previous post, you try to use 10 year ILR but have a few months short right?

Then I guess you try to use student visa to reach 10 years?

UK bank is ok but for India bank, sometimes Home office will phone the local india bank branch but if no one answers from the bank, you are going to have problems with your application

If you get an interview, be careful with your reason why you want to study in the UK.

Thank you . Yes I was short with 9 months. And I came back to India with my current leave remaining and want to go back before 6 months. You think this is the reason home office delayed my application and will again have same problem?

Zimba asked me to post here regarding student visa query.

Academic progress is not a mandatory field for a CAS used outside the UK. However, education history is one of the matters that is considered in terms of a Student's genuineness and credibility, with academic progress being a factor. See pages 14-17 of the Student route caseworker guidance.
