Proof of residency - 3 years

Post by MrGamgee » Sun Nov 10, 2024 10:25 pm

Hi all

I'm applying for naturalisation on the basis of having a British spouse. I have recently been granted ILR (SET M). I have to prove 3 years residency in the UK.

I have been only absent once in the last 3 years due to visiting my home country, and the only thing in my passport is an entry stamp when I came back to the UK, but not the exit stamp when i left the UK, and my home country does not stamp on entry. What proof do I need for proof of residency for the last 3 years?

That will be enough. Just supply travel dates in your application and copies of all passport pages.

I am supplying this for my application:

1. My passport
2. Partners British passport
3. Marriage certificate
4. My brith certificate
5. My partners British birth certificate
6. LIUK test results
7. English B1 results
8. ILR approval email (haven't got BRP due to eVisa)
9. 2 referee declarations

Is it fine we don't have an ILR brp? Is simply the approval email enough or should we print the page of our eVisa?

Are all these documents actually enough? Seems like too little documents considering everything we have had to supply for ILR.

Requirements for ILR and citizenship are very different. What you wrote is a reasonable list of docs to provide for citizenship. Your approval email and the ILR URN will be enough.
