Hi
I work for a charity who has international volunteers visiting.
It's clearly stated that those who can visit the UK without needing a visa can volunteer for a charity for up to 30 days.
The information is here:
https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor
What is unclear to me is the timeframe before the 30 days is 'reset'. It doesn't say anything about it it makes it seem that it's 'per visit', but that would imply that simply leaving and reentering the country would mean you could volunteer for another 30 days. Maybe that is the case, but it does make it very easy to get around the '30 day rule'.
Another interpretation is that, since this is a visa-free version of the Standard Visitor Visa, and that Standard Visitor Visa (for those who have to apply for one) is valid for 6 months, that could imply that it's 30 days per 6 months.
Does anyone have any clarity on this? If we need to end someone's volunteer visit because they have used up their 30 days, when can we tell them that they can come back and volunteer again?
Thank you very much in advance for any help.
