DEPENDENT VISA EXTENSTION

Post by Jpp2019 » Fri Nov 15, 2024 11:36 am

I have a very unique case and was wondering if someone could help us here

I was on skilled worker visa when i applied for my dependent's visa . He got the visa in 2021 and when he got the BRP we realized his BRP had wrong expiry date along with decision letter .It showed expiry of 2022 rather than 2025 as per the COS date. Any how our solicitor got that fixed by complaining to BRP team . They sent us new BRP (valid till 31-12-2024), His right to work was fixed too (valid till July 2025).
When he made evisa this year it started showing that old expired 2022 date . we complained and Home office didn't correct it . We ave complained to every possible team and no one has fixed it for us its been 3 months almost. We got his SAR (Subject access request) and in that there is a note in the end of case worker files saying "this person's end date was fixed and a new BRP was issued to him".
Now , I have recently got ILR and if i apply for his visa extension and explain all this issue in a cover letter and attach SAR and BRP as a proof that his status is actually valid until 2025 and not expired as what evisa shows .Would there be any risk in that ? i have lost all the hope on the complaint system :( they don't listen to us even after almost 10 complaints. Will extending the visa be an issue ?

You already were advised in your post last month that this is a common issue for many users of the eVisa platform. Also were told that it doesn't have any impact on any future applications.

If you already reported the issue wait until it is fixed. Unfortunately it's taking more time than expected in some cases, but eventually it will happen. Your dependant still has a valid BRP until 31-12-2024 and a leave until July 2025.

The same message you received from UKVI confirms that their mistake has been corrected, and proper documents issued.
"this person's end date was fixed and a new BRP was issued to him".
You can apply for an extension before/by the visa (not BRP) expiry date without worries, no need to even mention this. UKVI knows what is the real immigration status of your dependant.

PAP letter

Hi All , just wondering if you could share your opinions on this matter . I have raised a complaint with home office since October regarding my dependent’s evisa showing wrong expiration date and they don’t respond to us . All we get is an automated response is that a technician is working on the ticket ….. I have raised the ticket via multiple channels (even MP wrote a letter)….. I was suggested by a solicitor to send a PAP letter to get home office working on the issue and for faster resolution. Is this a correct advice ?
