British application for 2.5 year old child

Post by sriramsr » Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:20 pm

Hi
I am trying to do British passport application for my child who is 2.5 years old.
In the MN1 form, there is a question on the number of years she stayed in an address
Exact question - "Have you lived at your current address for 5 years?"
for this I gave the answer as No as she is not 5 years old
but the form asks me to fill previous address ?
any help on what should I fill here? will it be previous address of parent?

You are actually applying for your child to be "registered as British" - a passport needs a separate application to HMPO... once child is British.

Just fill in the address(es) for 5 years so you can continue - caseworker will know the child is under 5 - not an issue
