Travelling overseas while Naturalisation application is ongoing

Hello,

I was successful with my ILR application last month and have submitted my Naturalisation application on Jan 15 (as the spouse of a British citizen) and am planning to go overseas from 28 March to April 27 2025. My concern is that in case my application is approved a few days before i leave for my trip or while i am overseas, will my evisa status change from "Settled" to something else? Or will it continue to remain as "Settled" until i attend my Naturalisation ceremony and receive the Certificate?

This will have implications for whether i will be able to return to the UK after my trip.

Why should it?
Naturalization is a separate process from immigration.

I would expect it to remain as settled either indefinitely or once HO understands you're naturalized (have certificate and all).

IMO you're overthinking it.

You won't become British until you get your naturalisation certificate. You can travel and will be able to come back with your eVisa status. Just make sure you attend your biometrics appointment within the 45 days window.

Sorry which biometrics appointment are you referring to? I know that i have a 90 day window to attend the Oath Ceremony after receiving the invitation. And once i receive the certificate, then i can apply for the British passport. Is there another biometrics process up ahead?

Yes, i submitted my application online on Jan 9 and my biometrics on Jan 15. So that is all done. Hopefully, that is the last one...
