Child Indefinite Leave to Enter VAF4A Appendix 1 care questions

Post by Orinayano » Thu Jan 30, 2025 12:41 pm

I'm applying for the ILE for my kid & filling the VAF4A - appendix 1. There are number of questions about why they need care that I feel are not relevant for a kid. Example:
1. Are you able to care for yourself on a daily basis i.e are you able to wash and dress yourself and prepare food for yourself? - Answered No & mentioned due to age, 2 years old.
2. Who currently provides you with this care? Please include if care is from a privately funded arrangement or Government/local authority funded care. - gave mother & father details
3. Does your UK sponsor contribute financially to your current care? - not sure. he is india with mother & i was paying for the nursery when he was here but he's with grandparents at the moment & I'm not paying for the "current care".
Rest sound like health care questions. Not sure what to answer.
4. How long have you needed care? Please provide full details including whether your condition is one that is likely to improve.
5. Please provide details of why your current care arrangements cannot continue to meet your needs.
6. Is the care you need available in the country where you are living?
7. Please provide reasons why no other person, in your country of residence, can provide you with the care you require.
8. Is the care you need affordable in the country where you are living?
9. Could your UK sponsor or another close relative/person pay for your care arrangements in the country where you are living?
10. Please provide details of how your UK sponsor intends to meet your care needs if you are in the UK.

Can someone please help. We're both settled nd due to series of unfortunate decisions & timing we're in this situation. Kid is India with mother & the his last SW dependent visa has expired. The whole document feels irrelevant for a child of UK settled parents. Like what else can we do? leave the kid in a different country? They have all the required details from the application form.
