Promotion for a sponsored employee

Post by m2i » Wed Feb 12, 2025 8:57 pm

I am a manager at an NHS Trust and we have an employee in my team who is sponsored on a Skilled Worker visa.
Due to an organisational restructuring, her banding will be increased. Subsequently, the salary will also increase by around £5,000 pa.
The JD is changed to reflect more autonomy and responsibility but the actual work remains the same.
There is no change to the designation or the SOC code. Just increased responsibilities and pay to reflect that.

In this situation, do we need to notify the Home Office?

Our HR should take care of it but I do want to ensure the correct process is followed.

Thank you in advance.

As long as the new role falls within the same SOC there is no need to do anything. An increase of pay is not an issue at all. No need to notify this as well.
