Applying for ILR with FPNs

Post by Mohan » Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:23 pm

Hi,

I also have a similar type of question.

I had a fiscal fine in the year 2014, related to shop lifting. Yes, it was an unacceptable fault from my side. And I still regret.
Since then I have not involved any such issues.
In the meantime I have had to leave UK couple of time due to company redundancy.
Now I am in the UK 3rd time under skilled worker visa, came to UK on 2022. And ILR due on 2027, and citizenship on 2028.

As said earlier I have been coming in and out from UK legitimately.
On 2016 I left UK, due to company redundancy, and came on 2017 under skilled worker visa. And left UK on 2018 due to redundancy.
All these time when applied for skilled visa application I was told no need to declare the fiscal fine as it has been more than 2 years since the incident happened.

As now I am approaching ILR, I am in doubt whether I need to declare the fiscal fine or not. As there is less clarity on the UKVI doc.
However when it comes to citizenship application, I can see that all fines need to be declared.

I am very well aware that fiscal done not part of conviction nor part of criminal record.

Please note that I have also asked for a UK police certificate and it came with NO TRACES.

Appreciate your advice on whether I need to declare 13 years old fiscal fine on my ILR application.

You may declare it. It has no effect on ILR or naturalisation
