Family Visitor Visa

Post by sudeep_n » Sat Feb 07, 2009 1:11 pm

I work as a senior IT project manager in the UK. I have been a UK passport holder since past 3 years. Income of 90k per annum.

I stay in a large 2 BR flat. I want to invite my parents to UK to visit us, go on family short breaks in the UK. They are 64 and 60 yrs of age and reside in India.

What supporting documentation will I need to send them. I thought of following:

1. letter stating that I will sponsor the visit
2. last 3-6months bank statements
3. Last 3-6months pay slips
4. copy of UK passport

Also I intend to invite my brother 29 single employed in a good IT company in India just to spend time with us and take him around. What documents would I need to support his visa application.

Also can someone provide an invitation letter format / template. Any help will be gratefully received.

The above link will take you to a standard sponsorship document used by a few people on this forum.

Dont forget details of the property where your family members intend to reside. If you own it outright then copy of title deed should suffice. If you rent it, then a copy of the tennancy agreement.
