Dependent Visa - Switching from Skilled worker visa dependent

Post by Ibhelp » Wed Feb 26, 2025 9:53 am

I am currently on a Skilled Worker visa with my family and have completed 3.5 years in the UK. I am now planning to switch to a Global Talent visa. Will switching reset the ILR qualifying period for me and my dependent family members? Also, how would the ILR timeline change for me and my dependent if I switch under the 'Exceptional Talent' route versus the 'Exceptional Promise' route?

If the endorsing body is the Royal Society, the British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering or UKRI, that doesn't make any difference.
