UK Visitor visa on expired passport

Hi folks,

My mother has recently applied for renewal of her Indian passport but she has a valid UK visitor visa valid till the Feb of 2026 on the old passport. Couple of questions here:

• Will her renewed passport have the UK Visitor visa sticker?
• If not, can she still travel to the UK without having to re-apply for the visa?

A UK visa won't be transferred to a new foreign passport.
The visa is still valid however - she needs to carry the expired passport which has the visa, with the new passport and present both at the border. You need to make sure that expired passport isn't surrendered when the new passport is issued (not familiar with Indian passport service requirements).
