Advice Needed – Minor’s Indian Passport Renewal After Parent’s Citizenship Change

I need advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Current Situation:
Child: Indian passport expiring in a few months (in the UK on a dependent visa).
Mother: Indian passport (in the UK on a dependent visa).
Father: Acquired British citizenship, surrendered Indian passport.

Questions:
Can I apply to renew my minor child's Indian passport?
The renewal application requires both parents' passport numbers and nationalities—how should I proceed?

Note:
According to the High Commission of India, London, if either parent renounces Indian citizenship under Section 8(1) of the Citizenship Act, 1955, their minor child also ceases to be an Indian citizen under Section 8(2).

Any guidance on this matter would be much appreciated.
