ILR clock for Kid born in UK

Post by masoodim » Tue Apr 29, 2025 5:38 pm

Hi,
Does a child born in UK can spend more than 180 days out of UK and can still qualify for ILR when we apply through the skilled worker dependent route or even the child must adhere to the rule to not spend more than 180 days in a any calender month?

Thanks

It's not feasible to spend 180 days in a month anywhere.

With these being said the 180 days rule is in any rolling year not calendar year when it comes to residency.

Child born in the UK is qualifying for British citizenship as soon as at least one parent receive ILR at that point you can alternatively apply for ILR for the child, however, it is way more expensive.
