Expired passport to upload for identity

Post by amjadcsu » Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:18 pm

Hello

I am filling online british applicaton form (after 12 months on ILR) . My passport expired 3 months ago. and i used that passport for my ILR. The guidance says i can add photo driving License (UK d/l) but i am not asked for it and asked for my expired passport.

Any reason why am i not asked for it ?

Adding spouse in the same online application

Post by amjadcsu » Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:40 pm

Hello

I am filling in my British citizenship application after being on ILR for 12 months.
My wife also has been on ILR 12 months ( we got our ILR at same time in one application)

I know add my 2 kids in one online application as dependent , but i am not sure if i can add my wife as dependent on same application,. It does give option of adding partner in the application

Adding your wife is no issue - it's quite common.
Note that the term "dependent" doesn't apply for naturalisation.
Each adult and child is an individual applicant and will be assessed as such - again no issue but be aware that individuals may receive approval at different dates, i.e. not all together as a family.
