Visit visa - show british family flight documents?

Hi. My father in law most recently visited last year. He is now applying for a 2 year visit visa. Is it advantageous to show flight bookings showing that we are travelling to his home country after his planned visit?

The documents are available but I'm not sure if this is irrelevant/counter productive

Flight booking aren't required and I'm not sure that it has any effect on the outcome.
