Another confused question!!

Post by hamid84 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 11:26 am

Hopefully John would know my situation!!

I hold ILR and wife is Overseas student. I have recently applied for child benefit and wrote her NINO on form.

Now the situation is, i have sent her passport to HO for visa extension and ofcourse on FLR (S), she also wrote NINO.

So my question is, will HO enquire about this benefit?? I have not regesitered our wedding in UK.

If you have ILR, then why didn't you claim the child benefit?

Moreover, if you have a valid marriage, then your wife may apply for FLR(M) (285).

HI Vinny,

My son was born in May 2008 and i received ILR in Nov 2008 so i applied child benefit in Jan.. Still waiting for decision.

My marriage is not valid in UK.. Waiting for my passport which is with HO for ILR transfer on passport + Wife has sent her passport for student visa extension.

Once we get passports, then we will apply for COA.
